The Bupyeong 1-dong Residents' Autonomous Council has taken its first steps towards a new two-year term. On the 29th, the Bupyeong 1-dong Residents' Autonomous Council held the appointment ceremony for the 3rd term members at the Dong Administrative Welfare Centre, officially announcing its launch.

The event was designed not just as a simple personnel change, but as a continuation of the residents' autonomy movement. First, a video reflecting on the activities of the 2nd term Residents' Autonomous Council was screened, and awards and certificates of appreciation were presented to the members who had worked hard for the community. Following this, appointment letters were awarded to the 24 new members of the 3rd term, marking the beginning of their new term.

The newly formed 3rd term Residents' Autonomous Council plans to focus on expanding resident participation and creating tangible changes that can be felt in daily life. The members expressed their intention to practice 'lifestyle autonomy' by discovering local issues together with residents and seeking solutions through discussion and cooperation.

Chairperson Han Mi-ran stated, "Over the next two years, I will continue to communicate with residents and carry out community activities that everyone can relate to," adding, "I will strive to ensure that every resident recognises themselves as the owner of the community."

A representative from Bupyeong District also expressed gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate the dedication of the 2nd term Residents' Autonomous Council for the development of the community," and added, "We will continue to provide administrative support to ensure that the Residents' Autonomous Council can establish itself as a representative participatory organisation in the region."
