The Bupyeong 1-dong Residents' Autonomous Council has taken its first steps toward a new two-year term. On the 29th, the Bupyeong 1-dong Residents' Autonomous Council held the appointment ceremony for the 3rd term members at the Dong Administrative Welfare Center, officially announcing its launch.
The event was organized not just as a simple personnel change, but as a continuation of the flow of residents' autonomy. First, a video reflecting on the activities of the 2nd term Residents' Autonomous Council was screened, and awards and certificates of appreciation were presented to the members who have worked hard for the community. Following this, appointment letters were awarded to the 24 new members of the 3rd term, marking the beginning of their new term.
The newly formed 3rd term Residents' Autonomous Council plans to focus on expanding resident participation and creating tangible changes that can be felt in daily life. The members expressed their intention to practice 'lifestyle autonomy' by discovering local issues together with residents and seeking solutions through discussion and cooperation.
Chairperson Han Mi-ran stated, "Over the next two years, I will continue to communicate with residents and carry out community activities that everyone can relate to," and added, "I will strive to ensure that every resident recognizes themselves as the owner of the community."
A Bupyeong District official also expressed gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate the 2nd term Residents' Autonomous Council for their dedication to community development," and stated, "We will continue to provide administrative support to ensure that the Residents' Autonomous Council can establish itself as a representative participatory organization in the region."
