Incheon Bupyeong District has announced that it will hold the 'Bupyeong Future Development Policy Proposal Contest' for the month of February 2026.

This contest, under the subtitle 'A New Future, A Greater Bupyeong', aims to expand citizen participation in the policy formulation and decision-making process and to reflect various opinions in administration. It embodies the intention to lead the innovation of Bupyeong, leaping into the future through continuous communication with residents.

The areas for proposals include policies for citizen communication and cooperation, policies for revitalising the Bupyeong economy, policies for cultural city development, policies for creating a safe Bupyeong, welfare policies, policies for expanding urban environmental infrastructure, and policies for creating a child-friendly city, among others. Additionally, any policy proposal for the future development of Bupyeong can be submitted.

In particular, this year, a designated theme of 'Daily Life-Oriented Policies for the Future Development of Bupyeong' has been added, inviting small-scale ideas that can improve inconveniences in daily life.

Anyone interested in the development of Bupyeong District can participate, and applications can be made through the 'Bupyeong Policy Proposal Talk' on the Bupyeong District Office website. Submissions can also be made by post, email, or in person.

The submitted proposals will be used for the formulation and implementation of policies for the future development of Bupyeong. Outstanding proposers will receive prizes of 1.5 million won (1 prize for the grand prize), 500,000 won (2 prizes for excellence), 300,000 won (2 prizes for encouragement), and 100,000 won (6 prizes for effort). Some participants will also receive mobile coupons through a lottery.

The results of the selection will be announced in June through the Bupyeong District Office website after evaluation by the Bupyeong Vision 2020 Committee.

Meanwhile, Bupyeong District received a total of 107 policy proposals through the same contest last year, of which 23 were adopted, and selected 5 outstanding citizen proposals and 7 outstanding civil servant proposals.
