Incheon Empathy and Sharing Practice Alliance Begins Activities with First 'Jubging' Volunteer Service of the New Year

The 'Incheon Empathy and Sharing Practice Alliance' (Representative Lee Dong-sook, hereafter referred to as Gongsilryeon), which was launched to spread the culture of sharing in the Incheon area, has embarked on its first environmental cleanup volunteer activity in the new year of 2026.

On January 1st at 10 AM, Gongsilryeon conducted an environmental cleanup activity under the theme 'Creating a Clean and Clear Neighbourhood through Plogging and Jubging' at Ilshin Play Park behind Ilshin Elementary School in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon. About 20 citizens, including local youth and parents, participated in the event, collecting trash from every corner of the park.

As a registered organisation with the Bupyeong Volunteer Centre, Gongsilryeon has a systematic volunteer system that grants volunteer hours to participating members through the '1365 Volunteer Portal'. On the day of the event, Bupyeong District Councillor Yoon Gu-young also participated directly to encourage the volunteers and contribute to the cleanup efforts.

Lee Dong-sook, the representative of Gongsilryeon, stated, "Due to administrative procedures for the establishment of the organisation, our first activity this year has started in February. Based on the environmental cleanup activities, we plan to carry out various social contribution activities wherever the values of empathy and sharing are needed throughout Incheon, centring on Bupyeong."

Bupyeong District Councillor Yoon Gu-young remarked, "It is very desirable for voluntary social organisations like Gongsilryeon to be established in Bupyeong and Incheon. Many organisations come and go, but I hope Gongsilryeon grows into a sustainable and exemplary organisation through genuine activities for the local community."

Meanwhile, Gongsilryeon plans to organise tailored volunteer activities by creating member groups by generation, including youth, young adults, women, and middle-aged individuals. Recently, they have also applied for a resident-led 'Public-Private Partnership Park Management Project', continuing their proactive steps for community development and environmental maintenance.
