Incheon City Namdong District (Mayor Park Jong-hyo) announced on the 30th that it will promote the '2026 Namdong District Village Housing Management Office Home Repair Support Project' to improve the living environment of old houses in low-rise residential areas.
This project is designed to support vulnerable groups who are experiencing difficulties in home repairs due to economic burdens while living in old houses. It provides housing improvement services closely related to daily life, including wallpapering, flooring replacement, sinks, boilers, and plumbing facilities.
The application period is from January 19 to February 13, 2026, and applications can be submitted at the administrative welfare centre in the resident's jurisdiction.
Eligible recipients include seniors aged 65 and over, single elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, national merit recipients and compensation beneficiaries, victims of the May 18 Democratic Movement, patients with symptoms of Agent Orange, single-parent families, housing benefit recipients, and those in the lower middle-income and near-poverty groups. However, those eligible excluding the near-poverty group can only receive support if they belong to households with an income of 70% or less of the median income.
Selected households can receive support of up to 5 million won per household, and home repair work will be carried out through professional construction companies, prioritising households with urgent needs for improved living conditions.
A Namdong District official stated, "We hope to strengthen resident-centred housing welfare services through home repair support and to increase interest and participation in the Village Housing Management Office project."
