Nam Incheon Credit Union Donates 900kg of White Rice to Sipjeong 1-dong for the Lunar New Year

On the 30th, Sipjeong 1-dong in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon announced that it received a donation of 900kg of white rice from Nam Incheon Credit Union as part of the '2026 Lunar New Year Neighbourly Love Sharing' initiative.

The donated white rice will be provided to low-income vulnerable groups, including elderly people living alone and the disabled, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

Nam Incheon Credit Union has been actively engaged in sharing activities for the underprivileged in the community during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays every year.

Chairman Kim Wan-bae of Nam Incheon Credit Union stated, "In celebration of the biggest holiday of our nation, the Lunar New Year, we decided to donate white rice to help our economically disadvantaged neighbours have a warm holiday, even if just a little," and added, "We will continue our sharing activities in collaboration with the community in the future."

Park Geum-joo, the head of Sipjeong 1-dong, expressed gratitude to Nam Incheon Credit Union for their warm sharing for the community's underprivileged neighbours, saying, "We will ensure that the donated white rice is delivered to those in need, in accordance with the donor's wishes."
