Park Soo-yeon, Member of the Michuhol District Council, "Innovative Planning Like Chungju City Officials... Innovation in Michuhol District Festivals is Necessary"

Incheon Michuhol District Council Member Park Soo-yeon (People Power Party, Yonghyeon 5, Hakik 1, Gwangkyo, Munhak) called for both 'innovative planning' and 'thorough information security' to break the rigid framework of the public service during the district's administrative report.

During the 293rd extraordinary session of the Michuhol District Council held on the 28th, Member Park focused on questioning the 'Michuhol Festival Project' proposed by the district's policy research group. This project is centred around a so-called 'Jeon-Jjan Festival' that links local specialties such as Incheon Wang Makgeolli with history.

Member Park stated, "We need to gather employees with creative and innovative ideas into one team, like the case of Chungju City (Chungju Man), so they can properly demonstrate their skills in the cultural and artistic field," and emphasised, "We need a human resource renewal and an environment that can lead to actual planning, not just simple research."

In response, a district official said, "The policy research group is composed of various job levels from 7th to 8th grade and is doing its best in research," and added, "We will review the proposed festival ideas in conjunction with existing media festivals or consider them in the medium to long term and proceed with inter-departmental consultations."

Meanwhile, Member Park continued to make sharp points regarding the scheduled 'web firewall and DB access control system replacement' project under the Smart Policy Office. Mentioning the recent frequent personal data leakage incidents, Member Park stated, "While publicity is important, the security of the database (DB) containing valuable information of the residents is the top priority," urging thorough preparations to ensure that there are no security gaps during the system replacement process.

On this day, Member Park's inquiries were interpreted as a determination to capture two rabbits: 'innovative administration' for local government branding and 'digital security' for the safety of residents, going beyond merely checking budget execution.
