On the 27th, during the first plenary session of the 306th extraordinary meeting, Yoon Jae-sang, a member of the Incheon City Council's Culture and Welfare Committee (People's Party, Ganghwa County), focused on pointing out the delays and interruptions in the Ganghwa County road construction project.
Member Yoon stated, "In Ganghwa County, roads are essential public infrastructure that serves as emergency medical access and supports the local economy," and added, "The irresponsible project management by Incheon City is causing repeated inconvenience and anxiety for residents and tourists."
He particularly pointed out that the road construction project between Seonwon-myeon and Gilsang-myeon is stuck at a completion rate of around 50%, and the completion date is even uncertain. He also listed long-term delays such as the Gimpo Coastal Road from Geojeomdo to Yakam-ri, the improvement project for the hill road from Janghwa-ri to Yeocha-ri in Hwado-myeon, and the design service return for the coastal circular road from Hwangcheong-ri in Naega-myeon to Changhu-ri in Hajum-myeon, demanding responsible explanations and reports from the administration.
Member Yoon emphasized, "Changing the completion deadline every time during the city council questions is administrative mockery of the residents," and urged, "The relevant department head and headquarters should not evade responsibility by making excuses about budget and procedures, and the Ganghwa County road construction project should be swiftly promoted as originally planned." He added, "Until all roads in Ganghwa County are completed, I will hold Incheon City accountable on behalf of the 70,000 residents."
