Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education - Teachers' Associations Join Forces to Protect Educational Activities... Discussing Measures for Responding to Complaints

The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education (Superintendent Do Seong-hoon) has collaborated with local teachers' associations to protect educational activities in schools.

On the 29th, the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education announced that it held a 'Policy Council Meeting for Protecting Educational Activities' with three teachers' associations: the Incheon Teachers' Union, the Korean Federation of Teachers' Associations Incheon Branch, and the Incheon Teachers' Union. This meeting was initiated to establish effective protective measures amid ongoing concerns about violations of teachers' rights.

During the meeting, the city office and each association shared the terms and specific support details of the 2025 Teachers' Protection Mutual Aid Association. In particular, they collected suggestions from on-site teachers to be reflected in the 2026 terms revision, while also engaging in in-depth discussions on the pressing issue of responding to malicious complaints in schools.

An official from the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education stated, "The protection of educational activities is only completed when policies resonate with the voices from the field," and emphasized, "We will create an environment where teachers can focus solely on education with peace of mind through continuous communication with teachers' associations."

The city office plans to regularize policy council meetings with teachers' associations in the future to enhance the effectiveness of educational activity protection policies and continuously provide tailored support reflecting the needs of schools.
