Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok) announced on the 30th its operational plan for Incheon Family Park to ensure that citizens can safely and conveniently visit the graves during the Lunar New Year holiday. The park will be open from 6 AM on February 16th to 18th, and on the day of the holiday, the 17th, all vehicle access will be completely restricted.

The city has focused on the convenience of visitors and minimising traffic congestion through the '2026 Lunar New Year Memorial Comprehensive Plan'. To alleviate parking difficulties in the park during the holiday period, the nearby Jeil High School sports field will be opened as a temporary parking lot, operating from 8 AM to 5 PM.

On the day of the holiday, vehicle entry will be completely restricted from the park entrance. However, funeral vehicles from Seunghwa-won and free shuttle buses will be exempt from this restriction. The city will operate 10 free shuttles circulating between the park and the outside from 8 AM to 5 PM at intervals of 5 to 10 minutes. The shuttle routes will be divided into an external loop (Bupyeong Samgeori Station Exit 2 to the large parking lot) and an internal loop (large parking lot to Byeolbitdang, Manwoldang, colonnade-type columbarium, Seunghwa-won, and entrance to Family Grave Complex 1).

During the holiday period, except for the day of the holiday, vehicle entry to the park will be flexibly adjusted according to traffic conditions, and illegal parking will also be monitored. Additionally, the city will collaborate with the park, fire station, and police station to establish a traffic guidance and emergency response system to ensure the safety of visitors.

Kim Sang-jeong, head of the Incheon City Elderly Policy Division, stated, "We need the cooperation of citizens to ensure that visitors can use the park safely and comfortably during the Lunar New Year holiday," and urged, "Please make use of the online pre-visit memorial service and actively use public transport when visiting."

Meanwhile, Incheon City also provides an online memorial service. The service includes ▲ Online ritual ▲ Deceased gallery (photos and videos) ▲ Family messenger ▲ Deceased location guidance function, and can be accessed on the Incheon Family Park online memorial website.
