Incheon Seo-gu (Mayor Kang Beom-seok) announced that on the 27th, a joint inspection of youth hazardous environments was conducted in the Seongnam-dong area, where restaurants and lodging businesses are concentrated.

This inspection was carried out to block exposure to harmful businesses and substances around schools during the winter vacation, and to prevent youth delinquency, thereby creating a healthy growth environment.

Seo-gu organized a joint inspection team with the Incheon City Special Judicial Police, the Women and Youth Division of the Western Police Station, the Lifelong Education and Health Division of the Western Education Support Office, and the Seo-gu Youth Hazardous Environment Monitoring Team, focusing on karaoke rooms, restaurants, and lodging businesses frequently used by youth to conduct guidance and concentrated inspections for violations of the Youth Protection Act.

The main inspection items included checking the entry and employment of youth in establishments where their entry and employment are prohibited, the display and sale of harmful substances such as alcohol and tobacco to youth, whether lodging businesses condone or assist in mixed-gender stays for youth, and the appropriateness of harmful substance displays such as alcohol and tobacco. During the inspection process, stickers informing about the prohibition of mixed-gender stays were also distributed.

A Seo-gu official stated, "We will continue to carry out activities, crackdowns, and campaigns to prevent youth hazardous environments, spreading awareness of youth protection, and doing our best to prevent youth delinquency."
