Incheon Seo-gu Health Centre Holds Meeting to Promote Park Golf

The Incheon Seo-gu Health Centre (Director Jang Jun-young) announced that it held a meeting with relevant organisations, including the Incheon Seo-gu Branch of the Senior Citizens' Association and the Seo-gu Sports Council, on the 28th to discuss health management for the elderly and the promotion of park golf.

This meeting was organised to discuss ways to expand the popularity of park golf among the elderly and middle-aged individuals. Participants discussed the selection of park golf operation locations, recruitment of participants, and methods of instruction, as well as the division of roles among the organisations.

The relevant organisations agreed to form a working-level council in February to finalise detailed plans and to start park golf lessons from March.

Director Jang Jun-young of the Seo-gu Health Centre stated, "As the importance of integrated health care for the elderly increases, the role of health centres is also expanding," and added, "We will actively support blood pressure and blood sugar measurements and the operation of mobile health experience booths at events related to the elderly, such as gateball tournaments in the future."
